Our Mission

At Facilitivity, our mission is to enrich people’s lives at work by helping them work in an environment that supports the values and principles of Agile. For us, this is best summed up in the principle of “Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.” While we work toward this mission as Agile Coaches, our main mission is to achieve this indirectly by helping Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, RTEs and similar professionals in the technology world deepen their understanding of Facilitation and Professional Coaching as applied to individuals, teams, and organizations.

We believe that as people are implementing large changes, such as Agile, they go through all of the same things that one goes through when making other life choices such as where to go to school, what to do for a living, and who to be in a relationship with. Professional Coaching provides the tools to help people navigate the challenges associated with Agile adoption in a way that is more likely to succeed because they are responsible for their own choices and choose the path that best fits who they are as a person, team, and organization.

To this end, we have interleaved Professional Coaching into all of our offerings and have also designed two programs specifically focused on Professional Coaching. Our premier Professional Coaching program is our ICF accredited program “Advanced Agile Coaching.” We believe that while Agile knowledge is important, it is not enough to help people adopt Agile ways of working such that it is self-sustaining. They need Agile Coaches that can provide the Agile training to form the basis, but then they will need Agile Coaches that have Professional Coaching training to help individuals, teams, and organizations discover, explore, and choose their own solutions to create that self-sustaining change. Our Advanced Agile Coaching program has been specifically designed for this purpose.
