Description
This is a new Professional Coaching training program with 65 coach-specific training hours. In order to get a program accredited by the International Coach Federation, the program needs to be offered for 6 months and have 5 graduates as part of the accreditation process. Although we plan to work towards accreditation and adjust the program as required, there is no guarantee that it will get accredited. As of August 2021, the program has been offered for six months and there are students at various stages of progress in the program. In consideration of the program’s accreditation status, we are offering it at a reduced rate of $995(USD). After accreditation it will be priced at $3,995. Note that this program can be taken on its own or in addition to our Advanced Agile Coaching program which is an ICF approved program.
Help Design the Content
In running our Advanced Agile Coaching program, we discovered that our participants brought deep coaching related knowledge to the classes. We believe that the technical community has a deep informal knowledge of Professional Coaching and we plan to tap into that in the creation of this new program. Thus, participation in this pilot program is an opportunity to co-create the program! The program outlined below is a starting place. Nothing is set in stone. The intent is to co-create a program that is exciting and meaningful for anyone working in a technical environment including Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, RTEs, tech leads, project managers, managers, and anyone that is helping to bring about change as part of their role. This program is also strongly differentiated from other non-technically-oriented programs already on the market.
Program
Here is the proposed content, which will evolve over time. The program has been running since February 2021 with students continuing from our Advanced Agile Coaching program. Some of the modules are already part of that program and are merely the additional hours needed to reach the next level of coaching proficiency. For instance, coaching with feedback based on ICF’s PCC markers. Much of the content is an expansion of the material in our book “Professional Coaching for Agilists” published by Addison-Wesley.
